What is there to say when you get Tomlin on a screen except: Hurray! Add in Fonda (This is Where I Leave You), Waterston, and Sheen and you have a dream team of, shall we say, mature actors. It is full of wit, pathos, and life and utterly addictive.
The younger generation (hey, it’s all relative) is equally solid in their abilities and background. Embry, Decker (Battleship), Raphael, and Vaughn make a wonderful collection of an extended family and play off one another like they’ve been together for years.
My only gripe is that, by binge-watching the bloody series, I have far too long to wait for another set of installments. Give it a single episode. If you aren’t hooked at that point, this series just isn’t for you.
